"Umberto, I was wondering if you would like to participate in a business proposal I had for you. I say we take our employess and send them to The Temple of the Sliver Stars so that they might provide escorts for some map makers in that area. I would imagine it would be some what profitable."

Bastion has focused on his crafting the past 2 days and would complete any projects over the next few days. If he has any completed materials, he will head to Silverymoon and attempt to sell them off to that community's weapon shops or merchants.

Just something to keep in mind. It may be a little difficult to get this type of work for your npc's (an orc, a gpblin, and a human). Since some of them are "evil" they won't be able to enter the city of Silverymoon. Let me know how you want to proceed with this.

Ugh!

Ok, let me reiterate what this campaign is about. This is a role-playing campiagn, this is not a "let's go on adventures" campaign. An adventure campaign would be a very tedious endeavor for me to put together, especially since you won't acquire any XP for it, so I'm not doing it. There are two major things you need to be concerned with right now:

1) Guild Level - You need to get your guild level up to 2nd before you do any adventuring. And by adventuring I mean sending your NPCs out on adventures. Things that you can do to improve your guild is work on the stronghold. Put more things in it, hire a cook, hires some guards, steal more chickens, fill the armory, find some beds, sew a flag to fly over the stronghold, fill the stronghold with stuff, have more people living here. Every time a new NPC wanders over to the stronghold and wants to join up, you gain "Renown". The more renown you get the more doors will open up. People will come to you to seek out your stronghold/guild resources for jobs, more NPCs will want to join. It's a growing community.

2) Profit - You need to be thinking of ways to make money, especially if you have expenses (NPCs). I know making money is a little tough right now. Bastion, Melisis and Kregnok can produce things, and Lozigee and Valen can steal things. But you don't need a whole lot of money right now. Heck, Umberto has two NPCs (and because of this has twice as many XP than anyone else) and it is only going to cost him about 16 gp this month. He probably has about that much in his pocket right now. So 'acquire' some money if you can, but you don't need to worry about it too much. Money will start to flow once you get a little more reputation in the area. If you can't "acquire" money maybe you can work on acquiring contracts. Spread the word about your guild, handout flyers in the towns and gobin caves, you'll be getting work for the guild in no time. Maybe you have a great business idea, maybe Althalus relocates some of his "ho's" to Temel and sets up shop there. Maybe you can hire some people to cut down duskwood trees for profit. Anything you can thing of is a possibility

Inside DM info - Here is how I have things planned out. I wanted to introduce some NPCs over a period of time (maybe a month) and also for you all to have some free time to do your own thing (scout/produce items, etc). So nothing big will happen until the first seven NPCs come visiting. I wanted everyone to have the opportunity of hiring an NPC right off the bat, but you don't have to hire any. One PC could hire them all; it would be expensive, but that PC would pick up a ton of XP. So, things will get really rolling when that 7th NPC shows up, and hopefully you will be a 2nd level guild by that time, and thus can send your NPCs adventuring.

So, you have three days off until the next NPC....whatcha gonna do?

If K'Gorsz can also make perfume, then I will keeps some of the ingredients for him. I know a group of ladies whose customers would love them to smell better. Otherwise, I will take the flowers to Silvermoon to sell."

"I will cast Magic Missle..what? No?...oh." Ahem. Umberto will head to Wageton to try to off load two of K'Gorsz poisons, perhaps to the town healers in order to make anti-venom? Also set up any connections with any butchers or tanners in the town to start getting them the meat and skins Gravaar will be collecting. I would like to announce myself to the nearest public official in Wageton, letting them know that we are in the area and available for hire. I will then make my way to Cholnudon to sell the other poison, letting them know more will become available.

K'Gorsz cannot make perfume as I know, so go ahead and sell the flowers. But I will have him continue getting poison from bigger spiders.

Gravaar should continue hunting the next few days.
